About Brad
I’m Brad, a street photographer based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Portuguese roots and a restless eye for the world.
My relationship with photography began in Melbourne, Australia, in 2017. A city that, much like Rio, pulses with an energy that is impossible to ignore. It was on those streets that I first understood what a camera could do: not just record a moment, but reveal the invisible thread connecting strangers, cities and cultures.
Since then, I’ve taken that instinct across Southeast Asia, Europe and beyond, drawn to the spontaneous, the unposed, the human. My work sits at the intersection of street photography and photojournalism. I’m less interested in the perfect frame than in the honest one. The street vendor’s concentration, the commuter’s solitude, the flash of joy between two strangers. These are the moments I chase.
I’m drawn to light that tells a story on its own, to the layers that cities build when no one is looking, and to the faces that carry entire lives in a single expression.
